Emissions to the Marshland

Year 3 Autumn Studio Project
Project Overview
In the age of technology, a regression to simpler times is necessary. Times in which, one would heat their house using bodily waste, for example, and the aromas of a cooking stew would fill the rooms for good or for worse. A lack of cell reception forced reliance on the land, a regression which I will be implementing throughout this project - Emissions to the Marshland. Focusing on smell, the pungency of plants (forget-me-nots) when cooked in a vat, and the physical transportation to a land away from roads and train tracks. Whereby, communal living is the norm, and one is expected to bunk and cook with strangers in close proximity. A journey which most will not take, out of fear or the unknown, but one which would heal the strained mindset of a modern-day person who relies so heavily on technology to do the simplest tasks. This is what I am proposing.
